Originally built as C.J. Johnson’s Resort in 1947, Campfire Bay Resort has been a resort destination for generations of families, though under 3 different names prior to Campfire Bay. Heather and Brian Sams have owned the resort since 2002 and have taken it from a small, seasonal 10 cabin resort to a year-round resort with 20 cabins and over 40 acres to explore.

At Campfire Bay Resort, we strive to treat you like family and help you make warm memories year-round in our 2, 3, or 4-bedroom cabins on Fish Trap Lake. All of our lakeside cabins are just 20ft from the water, with the rest of our rental cabins within 150 ft of the lake. Our charming lodge on site sells coffee, gifts, and ice cream and has a game room, gathering room, and laundromat. Our large rec center has a day spa, fitness room, playroom, and full gym where we also host events like weddings and business retreats. We offer pontoon and boat rentals to guests and the public.
