Description
Hospitality Minnesota Day at the Capitol 2024
Wednesday, March 13, 2024
9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Deadline to Register: March 1, 2024
In 2023, Minnesotans saw the fastest-moving state legislature in decades, with major implications for the hospitality community. Our state saw the passing of Earned Sick and Safe Time, Paid Family Medical Leave, Cannabis legalization, and Driver's Licenses for All, just to name a few. Hospitality Minnesota managed to secure funding for our educational programs, a seasonal exemption from Paid Family Medical Leave, a food exemption from the state's new delivery tax, and more.
In 2024, the work continues, and a major part of that work is optimizing our Day at the Capitol. Our Association depends on the involvement of our members to tell the story of hospitality to our legislators. Join us for a full day at the Capitol meeting with legislators, Commissioners, and key staff. This year, we have the L'Etoile du Nord Vault booked at the Capitol, which will be our home base for the day. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided concluding with a late afternoon reception.
Please join us in advocating for hospitality.
