Kavanaugh's Resort is located on Sylvan Lake in the heart of the Pine Beach Area and is a 51-unit family owned and operated resort under the ownership of the Kavanaugh Family since 1969.
A housekeeping resort on 1200 feet of lakeshore with 51-units ranging from 1 to 6 bedrooms. Kavanaugh's has an indoor and outdoor pool area, tennis courts, basketball, pickleball, paved walking and biking trails and a marina and dock area.

Named Star Tribune "Best of Minnesota" Best Resort in 2023. Brainerd Lakes Chamber Small Buisiness of the Year 2022. Sherm, John and Tom Kavanaugh are the only trio of resort operators from the same family to be named Minnesota Resort Association "Resorters of the Year". The Kavanaugh Family was inducted into the Hospitality Hall of Fame in 2018.
